Our district is famous for its
wine and there are several different appellations, wine-growing
areas, and visiting and tasting the vignobles' produce
is a great pastime.
Also, apart from particularly famous or sought-after
areas, there are many bargains to be had! And a good bottle of
wine can cost as little as 3euros.
Also, important districts such as Pomerol and St.Emilion
are easy to get to.

The next door restaurant's house
wines come from Château Grinou which is in
Monestier.
Also in Monestier is Château
des Eyssards which produces an excellent drop.Try
the 'Adagio des Eyssards'.
Over in Saussignac there is Château
Miaodoux. Their 'Inspiration de Miaodoux' is
really good.

On the D.18 towards Ste. Foy la
Grande, about 7km away there is Château
Parenchere. It's on the left hand side.
Very close by - about 500m away
- there is Château Fontaine des Grives.
Mario's rosé is sensational!!
Domaine du Pigeonnier - Monestier. About 2½km;
Jon & Liz Alexander have created some excellent
wines - especially their dry whites.Look out for
Jack and Lillie, though….!

Château Repenty. Right across the road, which
helps! Good wines at good prices. We like the red
a lot.
