There is always plenty going on in the area - the best way to discover what is to keep an eye on noticeboards in the town squares or on telegraph poles almost anywhere. France Magazine has  a good search facility which is useful. It is very broad based but should at least catch some of the big set-piece happenings in the region.

In August there usually a great display of ballooning at Duras (15 minutes away)as part of the Fête du Vins - as below!).
